Phil Cook & the Fall Dogs: Still Loud, Still Alive, Still Canadian
Phil Cook & the Fall Dogs don’t ask for permission—they just plug in and blow the doors off. Straight outta Southwestern Ontario, this no-frills, all-thrills rock outfit serves up heavy hooks, lyrical fire, and a live show that feels like your record collection grew legs and started drinking beer.
Phil Cook – The Alchemist
Raised on '60s counterculture and forged in the glow of '70s and '80s rock, Phil Cook leads the Fall Dogs with the swagger of Petty, the brains of Costello, and the bite of Bowie. He cut his teeth in bands like 225 Main and Criminal World before stepping into the spotlight as a frontman who writes songs that feel both instantly familiar and undeniably fresh. He doesn’t just channel rock history—he rewrites it in every set.
Brad Lishman – London’s Loudest Secret
Brad didn’t start drumming until 17. By 18, he was shaking walls with 225 Main. By 24, he was a full-time beast behind the kit for Fatal Attraction, Indiscretion, and Alter Ego. He hits like a train and grooves like your life depends on it. His roots run deep—Beatles, Queen, Rush, Van Halen—and his fills hit like he's summoning Bonham through a stack of Molsons.
Darcy White – Bass
Every band needs a spine. The Fall Dogs got theirs in Darcy White.
He doesn’t “play” bass so much as he detonates it in slow motion. Low-end like a bar fight in steel-toed boots — thick, dangerous, and grinning while the room shakes. While the guitars snarl and Phil howls at the moon, Darcy’s down there wiring the chaos to a pulse you can feel in your ribs.
He’s the guy who makes the floorboards nervous. The human subwoofer with a smirk. Equal parts groove surgeon and volume delinquent, White keeps the Fall Dogs from floating off into space — unless, of course, he decides it’s time to launch.
No flash. No fuss. Just thunder.
Kris Gale – Keys / Cello
Every gang needs a wild card. The Fall Dogs got theirs in Kris Gale.
He’s the guy who brings a cello to a knife fight — then wins. One minute he’s painting ghost-notes across a Hammond haze, the next he’s sawing that cello like he’s scoring the end of the world in a basement club with busted neon.
Where the guitars grind and the bass rumbles, Gale levitates. Organ swells that feel like church after last call. Cello lines that creep in like fog under a locked door. He’s the secret weapon, the tension builder, the cinematic spark that turns a three-chord riot into something widescreen and dangerous.
Classically trained? Maybe. Classically behaved? Not a chance.
He doesn’t decorate the chaos.
He electrifies it.
Discography & What's Next
With records like Sentience Acoustic, Chase Your Tail! and Wo Shou — the one that coughed up basement-burners like “Get the Word Down” and “Get Busy Living” — Phil Cook & the Fall Dogs already shoved a steel-toe boot through your speakers and into the soft meat of your attention span.
Then came 2025’s Ni Hao Ni Hao: all busted amplifiers, nicotine-stained hooks, and panic-disco sneers. Tracks like “Natalie” and “Hello Hello” rattled around like The Jam trapped in a shopping cart riot, while the Yi Qi singles — “Data Data Data Data,” “I Don’t Wanna Be Famous,” and “I May Love Again” — took a rusty boxcutter to influencer culture, digital narcotics, and the beautiful stupidity of wanting connection in an age built to monetize loneliness.
By 2026 the band stopped knocking politely and started kicking doors off hinges. “Heavy Metal Loafers” strutted in with cheap-shoe swagger and delinquent grins. “Irrelevance Dance” turned algorithmic despair into a barroom singalong for the terminally ignored. “Two Psychopaths” sounded like a police chase through a blown-out transistor radio. And “Debbie Doom Scroller” — all caffeine jitters, dead-eyed feeds, and late-capitalist paranoia — proved the Fall Dogs know exactly how to weaponize hooks against the digital sludge eating everybody alive.
Now the next wave is already crawling out of the basement: new singles dropping through May, June, and the rest of 2026 like flaming bottles lobbed at the attention economy. Expect more garage-glam wreckage, more razorwire melodies, more anti-corporate spit, and enough feral power-pop venom to make your phone sweat in your pocket.

The Kings of Cool - Rock Band Ireland
"Get Busy Living" title pops up directly—don't ask why, I am a fan!—maybe because of the voice that I would certainly relate to David Bowie; the text tells the story of a woman who decides to leave an unsatisfactory situation to rebuild herself and find a new path, not letting the past or others' opinions hold her back.
This song is strangely positive, even with the described situation.
Love it."
Mitxota - Spanish Musical Artist
"What a great EP beginning to end"
Aaron Leet - Dashinf Skull Club - Rock Band
